Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of a small cassette for housing the same magnetic tape as that housed in a large cassette, and at the same time, to make the length of the magnetic tape longer. CONSTITUTION:The tape reel 22 of a small cassette 20 is formed of a reel hub 25 which is engaged with a reel base 27 and an upper and lower sheets 31 and 32 which are respectively brought into contact with the internal surfaces of an upper and lower halves 23 and 24. The sheets 31 and 32 hold a magnetic tape 21 and, at the same time, feeds the tape 21 to a rotary head by raising the hub 25 from the lower half 27.
