PURPOSE: To aim at the low power consumption, lightening in weight and miniaturization in size of a device by driving directly one side reel of a pair of reel turn tables and the another side of them by a capstan driving means.

CONSTITUTION: A capstan driving part 53 is rotated in an arrow head direction and rotates gears 59 and 61 through an interlocking belt 57 in the arrow head direction. According to that, an idle gear 63 linked to the gear 59 is moved toward a gear 101, and is linked with the gear 101. Consequently, a reel turn table 105 is rotated by a gear 103 through a slipping mechanism between the gears 101 and 103, and the winding operation of a tape is performed with a prescribed torque. A gear ratio is selected so that the number of rotations becomes a double or triple of the prescribed number of rotations of the table 105 in slipping time. Thus, a small-sized and cheat tape feed device less in power consumption can be obtained.
