Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the general-purpose properties of a bar code by providing a count-up means applying numbering processing successively counting up a countable character row only by inputting the first data of a bar code containing a common character row and the countable character row.
CONSTITUTION: A printing data forming means receives data from a data memory means to form dot image data for printing and a character, a mark and a bar code are printed on a tape by the printing head of a printing means. At that time, a count-up means counts up the countable character row among the data of a bar code containing a common character row and the countable character row on the basis of the data received from the data memory means at every printing and the data of the counted-up countable character row is renewed to be stored in the data memory means. By repeating this processing, a bar code wherein the countable character row is successively counted up is successively printed on a tape.
