PURPOSE: To stabilize the positional relation between a tape winding device and a wire harness, in the device for winding an adhesive tape or the like around a wound body such as the wire harness, by marking a rotary body with an insertion notch reaching the center of rotation and inserting the wound body into the insertion notch.

CONSTITUTION: The end of a tape T is drawn from a tape roll R and the front end is fixed at a cutter 41. Thereafter, a wire harness H held by a tool is inserted in an insertion notch of a rotary body 3 ad holding guides 22, 23 of an extended guide 21. In this state, a motor is driven to rotate the rotary body 3. And a tape reel 24 is rotated at the periphery of wire harness H and at the same time, the device is transferred along the wire harness H to spirally wind up the tape T on the periphery of wire harness H. At this time, the wire harness H is guided by the holding guides 22, 23 of the extended guide 21 and two positions of the insertion notch in the rotary body 3, separated from each other in the axial direction. And hence, the device is accurately guided against the wire harness H.
