PURPOSE: To attempt to perform automatic masking by attaching masking seal pieces manufactured by punching a water-soluble paper to one face of a narrow and long supporting sheet at regular intervals in a line, attaching a release sheet thereon with a water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive and reeling it up.
CONSTITUTION: Masking seal pieces 3 and 3 formed by punching a water-soluble paper into a specified shape is attached to one face of a narrow and long supporting sheet 2 consisting of polyester, etc., at regular intervals in a line with a pressure-sensitive adhesive 4 for the supporting sheet consisting of an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive. A release sheet 5 consisting of a plastic film, etc., with the same width as the supporting sheet 2 is attached thereon through a water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive 6 consisting of an acrylic water-soluble pressure-sensitive adhesive, etc. Then, this long tape 1 is wound in a reel-like shape and is used by drawing from the reel.
