PURPOSE: To continuously effect a taping by revolving a frame provided in a carriage at the moment when the tape-carrying carriage, which is driven along two guide rails, reaches the hair pin portion of a conductor disposed between the rails.

CONSTITUTION: Two guide rails 12A and 12B are provided in parallel and a freely driven carriage 19 having a guide roll 20 for supporting the legs of conductor 11 and a frame 18 for carrying a rotary ring 16 are placed on the rails. In order to perform a taping, the end of the conductor 11 is fixed to a conductor reception 13, one leg 11A is inserted to the ring 16 which is revolved while driving the carriage 19 along the rails 12A and 12B to establish the taping. Subsquently, when the carriage 19 reaches a hair pin 11B, it is suspended and the frame 18 is revolved to be driven along the hair pin 11B. Thereafter, the rotation is stopped after a 180° rotation, and the taping is commenced again with the other leg portion 11B.
