To provide a target conveying device and a recoding device capable of sufficiently sucking the entirety of a target onto a conveying belt during conveyance of the target.
A conveying unit 13 is equipped with the conveying belt 20 having a plurality of suction holes 20a and conveying a cut paper 12 from an upstream side to a downstream side, a platen 15 having a plurality of long grooves 21 and supporting the cut paper 12 conveyed by the conveying belt 20 via the conveying belt 20, and an induced air blower sucking the cut paper 12 onto the conveying belt 20 by sucking the cut paper 12 through each suction hole 20a and each long groove 21. In a lateral direction which is a conveying direction of the cut paper 12, an opening width of each long groove 21 is smaller than a distance between the respective suction holes 20a.
