PURPOSE: To provide the title tea-leaf drier which can give tea leaves of high quality without uneven drying in high heat efficiency with low energy costs by irradiating tea leaves with far infrared rays, as the tea leaves are fluidized by vibration.

CONSTITUTION: Tea leaves are fed from hopper 5 to the drier 2 at a certain rate and vibrated with trough 8 and vibrator 9. Simultaneously, the tea leaves are irradiated with far infrared ray irradiator over the trough 8, preferably with rays of 6W9μm of wavelength to effect drying. Then, the dried leaves are sent into the product box 26 to give the subject tea leaves.
