To provide a telephone device capable of simplifying processing to register name information and a telephone number to achieve the utilization of a memory dial function.
The telephone device includes a wireless part 101 having a function of detecting the telephone number of a call party destination, and a memory 104 for storing a character code expressing a name and at least the telephone number by correspondence. The device includes a DSP processor 102 and a CPU processor 103 by which a voice signal applicable to the name of the call party is extracted among the voice signals during calling by the wireless part 101, the extracted voice signal is converted into the character code, and the converted character code and the telephone number of the call party destination detected by the wireless part 101 are stored by correspondence in the memory part 104.
