Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately receive caller information transmitted during speech communication without causing any trouble in a state of speech.
SOLUTION: When a caller information transmission start signal by a DTMF signals is detected by a caller information transmission start signal detecting circuit 7, a main control part 12 disconnects a line/hand-set connection switch 3, and disconnects a speech path from a telephone line 1 through a line interface 2 to a handset 4. Thus, any irritating sound can be prevented from being transmitted from the handset 4 to a user by a mute operation. The main control part 12 judges the transmission quality of the telephone line 1 from the transmitting time or transmitting time interval of the caller information transmission start signal, and judges whether or not a caller information receiving part 6c which is realized by the program operation of a digital signal processor 6 should be activated. When an incoming signal is received, the communicating state with the communicating party is stopped, and after the end of the reception of the incoming signal, the communicating state with the communicating party is resumed.
