Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively execute coefficient updating by constituting an equalizing device of an equalizer filter having plural equalization coefficients and of a coefficient updating module for generating an updated coefficient.
SOLUTION: A received TV signal is filtered by an equalizer filter and successively supplied to an error generation block 32, and a coarse error value representing a difference between the filtered data sample and a data type mean radius and an MSE value for the coarse error value are generated. A weight factor determination block 34 compares the MSE value with a previously determined error value and generates 1st and 2nd weight factors. The 1st weight factor is supplied to a CMA calculation block 36 and the 2nd weight factor is supplied to a Cauchy calculation block 38. The block 36 generates a CAM calculation value by multiplying respective inputs. A coefficient calculation block 44 adds an addition value to the equalization coefficient and generates a roughly updated equalization coefficient.
