PURPOSE: To provide temper rolling equipment and method for preventing the deterioration of surface property of a metallic sheet due to inclusion of foreign matters and efficiently obtaining the metallic sheet having the uniform and clean surface.
CONSTITUTION: This equipment is provided with a temper rolling mill 4, dry brush rolls 5a, 5b which are provided holding the metallic strip between them, receiving rolls 6a, 6b companion to the brush rolls and a dust collecting duct 9 which is provided in proximity to the dry brush rolls 5a, 5b in front of the inlet side of the mill and the peripheral surfaces of the dry brush rolls 5a, 5b and receiving rolls 6a, 6b are respectively brought into contact with the surfaces of the metallic strip 1. The receiving rolls 6a, 6b are tension rolls 3a, 3b on the inlet side. Further, oscillation mechanisms for the dry rush rolls 5a, 5b are provided.
