To compensate the frequency/temperature characteristic and to facilitate the adjustment after production by supplying the applied power voltage to an oscillation circuit to change the frequency/temperature characteristic in response to the detected temperature of a temperature detection circuit.
A data storage circuit 4 is connected to an external f0/ temperature characteristic adjustment circuit 11 via a data output circuit 10 and stores the offset setting data, etc., to change the frequency/temperature characteristic of a piezoelectric vibrator 9. An f0 adjustment circuit 7 adjusts the frequency f0 of an oscillation circuit 8 to correct the variance of the reference frequency f0 of the vibrator 9. A temperature function power voltage generation circuit 6 generates a power voltage VDD (T) that is proportional to the control voltage Vcont generated by a function generation circuit 5 and supplies it to the circuit 8. The circuit 8 can change its oscillation frequency in response to the change of the voltage VDD (T) and therefore compensates the frequency/temperature characteristic of the vibrator 9 to keep the overall oscillation frequency of a temperature compensation voltage oscillator 1 in a prescribed range.
