Abstract:
To provide a temperature control device having a mechanism for improving efficiency of a Peltier module for cooling or heating fluid flowing in a flow passage.SOLUTION: A flow passage heat accumulation block is formed to surround a temperature control passage in which fluid flows, and cools or heats the fluid by transferring heat. A temperature control Peltier module transfers heat between a first surface that comes into contact with an outer peripheral surface of the flow passage heat accumulation block to absorb/discharge heat from/to the flow passage heat accumulation block and a second surface located at a back side of the first surface. An auxiliary heat accumulation block is disposed to come into contact with the second surface so as to cause heat transfer between the auxiliary heat accumulation block and the second surface of the temperature control Peltier module. An auxiliary Peltier module performs operation for absorbing/discharging heat from/to the auxiliary heat accumulation block. A control section operates the temperature control Peltier module to maintain the flow passage heat accumulation block at a first target temperature, and operates the auxiliary Peltier module to maintain the auxiliary heat accumulation block at a second target temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
