Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compositions comprising templated nanoconjugates and to provide methods of their use.SOLUTION: The invention provides a plurality of nanoconjugates, each nanoconjugate having a defined structure and comprising a plurality of crosslinked biomolecules in a monolayer, and a surface providing a template upon which the structure is assembled, the surface is optionally at least partially removed after the structure has been defined. The invention also provides a method for crosslinking a structured nanoconjugate, the method comprising the step of activating a first biomolecule by contacting the first biomolecule with the surface, the activation allowing the first biomolecule to crosslink to a second biomolecule.
