Title:
TEMPLE DEVICE, LOOM FOR PLURAL WOVEN FABRICS HAVING DIFFERENT WIDTHS, AND METHOD FOR WEAVING WITH LOOM FOR PLURAL WOVEN FABRICS HAVING DIFFERENT WIDTHS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001207354
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a loom which is used for producing plural woven fabrics having different widths and can form the twill woven fabrics by decreasing the tension of warps and increasing the tension of wefts, and to provide a method for weaving the woven fabrics by the use of the loom.

This method for producing woven fabrics, comprising dividing warps from warp beams into plural warp groups by the use of plural healds, upward and downward moving each heald in a determined order to form openings, driving wefts into the openings, and cutting the intermediate portions of the driven wefts to produce the plural woven fabrics a, b having different widths, respectively, characterized by disposing temple devices 20, 40 at both the right and left sides of the loom and between both the woven fabrics, and gripping both the ends of each woven fabric with the temple devices. Since the woven fabrics a, b do not have a tuck-in selvage, both the ends of the woven fabrics can surely be gripped with the temple devices, and the twill woven fabrics can efficiently be produced by decreasing the tension of warps and increasing the tension of wefts.
