The stopping place in the automatic circulation type cableway equipment to perform the transporting operation using closed type carriages includes a trunk line rail for the carriage to run in forward transit from the arrival side to the departure side and a shunt rail to branch at the periphery of the trunk line rail and converge again with it, in which a stopping place is provided along the shunt rail and the specific carriage is stopped there, and one carriage is introduced to the shunt rail from the trunk line rail upon completion of getting on the specific carriage followed by transporting of the introduced carriage along with the specific carriage, and the specific carriage is converged in a position in a string of carriages traveling on the trunk line rail and corresponding to the position of the introduced carriage, and then the carriage introduced to the shunt rail is stopped at the stopping place.
