PURPOSE: To realize a lightweight temporary covering stand, the number of times for repeated use until a surface layer is recovered of which is large.

CONSTITUTION: A temporary covering stand consists of a base 16, which is formed by fixing edge materials 12 and 13 to the whole outer peripheral edge part of a square board-like lightweight core material 11 and has the predetermined thickness, underlying layers 14, which are bonded onto both the sides of the base and in which aluminum foil 18 is respectively interposed, and surface layers 15, each of which is bonded to the surface of each underlying layer. The lightweight core material is made of a foamed polystyrene or honeycomb core material. The surface layer is made of a woven fabric or synthetic resin sheet, onto the front surface side of which rag lining can be bonded with starch. The underlying layer 14 is made of three-layered paper. The edge materials 12 and 13 are made of lumber.
