To meet flexibly a difference in size or the like, cover easily without carrying out brushing-on, and prevent spewing of a room temperature polymerized resin or the like by forming a slit from the open edge of a temporary crown.
A slit 4 of a prescribed length is formed from the edge of an opening 2 to a cusp 3 on the lingual surface side of a temporary cap crown 1. The slit 4 needs not be straight. However, it may take the form of a waved curve, a polygonal line or the like. When the temporary crown 1 is molded by compression, extrusion or the like, it is preferable that the slit 4 is molded simultaneously. However, after molding, it may be formed with a cutter or the like. This temporary crown 1 is prepared in a plurality of kinds different in shape and size and one is chosen from among them in accordance with a patient, thereby meeting flexibly a difference in size or the like and covering appropriately and easily.
