PURPOSE: To make it possible to combine floor units and the entrances of a building securely by installing a folding type deck to the entrance of the floor unit to allow to tilt up and down, in a temporary elevator made by piling up the floor units on a pit unit, established side by side to the building.

CONSTITUTION: In a temporary elevator shaft 2 established side by side to an existing building 1, a guide rail 6 is erected, along which the up and down movement of a cage 7 is guided. In this case, the temporary shaft 2 is constructed by piling up a pit unit 21 composed by combining panels erected to the side surfaces of four sides each other, and plural floor units 22 having entrance frames 23, on a pit 3 consisting of the bottom of the shaft. And to the entrance threshold 24 provided to the entrance frame 23 of each floor unit 22 from the second floor or higher except for the lowermost floor unit 22, a folding type deck 27 is pivoted to allow to tilt up and down, and the entrances of the building 1 and the entrances of the floor units 22 are combined through the folding type decks 27.
