Title:
TENACITY COMBINED HARDNESS DIFFERENCE ROLL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3108957
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a tenacity combined hardness difference roll simultaneously having wear resistance, tenacity and biting property by shrinkage fitting a highly hard sleeve to the roll with a mixed thermal spray layer such as nickel powders.
CONSTITUTION: A roll main body 1 is formed with a forged ultra tenacity cast iron alloy. The highly hard sleeve 3 which consists of an iron alloy near to a forged white cast iron which is applied with heat plastic working and heat treatment which are different from the main body in hardness and chemical composition in structure is shrinkage-fitted to the roll main body 1 to be fixed with the mixed thermal spray layer 2 which is made of nickel powders or the mixture of stainless steel powders and a silicon carbide powder or an aluminum powder. The material of the roll main body is one of a tool steel in hardness and chemical composition containing a special carbide and ≤15% Cr and one or more of ≤2.5% Mo, ≤2.5%, V and ≤25% W are contained. Thus, only one of the roll is used instead of several other rolls and the roll consumption unit is improved.
