Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tension regulating device which can promptly act to control brake torque through the fine tension variation of a filament member and has excellent performance.
SOLUTION: Permanent magnets 19 whose magnetic poles in a circumferential direction are mutually varied are severally stuck to the opposite faces of a regulating bracket 15 and a movable bracket 18. A magnetic disc (a hysteresis plate) 20 rotating unitedly with a tension pulley 5 is inserted between the permanent magnets in noncontacting state. Since the movable bracket 18 supported in a magnet cover 13 by a bearing 17 rotates interlockingly with the tension bar 7, the magnetizing force of the magnetic disc 20 varies to control the braking torque of the tension pulley 5.
