Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide vinyl acetate polymer compositions applicable to various adhesive applications, including wood and paper packaging and processing, vinyl laminating, metal-to-wood adhesives, vacuum forming adhesives, and bonding various paper substrates and nonwoven substrates.SOLUTION: An aqueous composition adhesive composition comprises: a vinyl acetate polymer; and a plasticizer comprising an alkyl terephthalate represented by the formula (I) in an amount of at least 6% based on the dry mass. (Rand Rare each independently a C4-8 saturated straight or branched unsubstituted alkyl or cycloalkyl group.)
