To provide a terminal for connector of a small size and light weight, with a large retention force to a connector housing.
The terminal 1 for connector is composed of a tab part 2 insertion-coupled with a counterpart terminal and a press-fitting part 3 pressed into a press-fitting protrusion 11 of the connector housing 10. The press-fitting part 3 includes a base part 5 equipped with total two press-fitting parts 5a at both side faces, and two branch parts 6 formed so as to branch from the base part 5 and with a press-fitting part 6a formed at its both side faces. The terminal 1 for connector is provided with the total of six press-fitting parts 5a, 6a, so that a retention force on the connector housing 10 can be increased even without making large the width of the connector terminal 1 and the size of the press-fitting protrusion 11 of the connector housing 10 in a press-fitting direction.
