Abstract:

To efficiently perform repeated transmission of messages for coverage extension in a random access procedure.SOLUTION: A terminal device identifies one of a first resource on which a device incapable of repeatedly transmitting a message 3 in a 4-step random access procedure in consecutive slots can transmit a random access preamble, and a second resource that is different from the first resource and that allows a device capable of repeatedly transmitting the message 3 in consecutive slots to transmit a random access preamble, as a resource to be used when the terminal device transmits the random access preamble on the basis of capability information of the terminal device, and transmits the random access preamble on the identified resource.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
