Abstract:

To provide a terminal device for acquiring contents such as background images to be stuck to a display screen from a web or the like by a simple procedure.

An information input medium 43 in which a code to specify an image to be provided as contents is described as information coded by the rotational direction of a predetermined image pattern 48 is provided to a user of a terminal device 1. An image of an information description area of the information input medium 43 is picked up by a camera 3 equipped on the terminal device 1. The picked up image information is processed to determine the rotational direction of an image pattern, and the code to specify the image to be provided as contents is recognized. Based on the recognition code, the image as the corresponding content is acquired from a site on the web or a storage medium.
