Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect a fault of a terminal device in its early stage on the side of a remote controller.
CONSTITUTION: The terminal device control system 1 is equipped with plural terminal devices 3 and the remote controller 4 which remotely control the terminal devices 3. The remote controller 4 is equipped with a data receiving means 42, a control table storage means 43 for storing a control table containing identifiers for discriminating whether data from a terminal device 3 so set as to send the data within a transmission time zone is not received or already received, a timer means 44 for measuring the time wherein a line is not connected in the transmission time zone, and a control means 41 which decides whether the time measured by the timer means 44 reaches predetermined set time and detects a terminal device whose identifier in the control table stored in the control table storage means 43 indicates nonreception as a faulty terminal device when deciding that the measured time reaches the set time.
