Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal fitting capable of preventing damage to the rim of a terminal inserting hole when inserting or extracting a waterproof member from the terminal insert hole.
SOLUTION: This terminal fitting 1 is provided with a box connecting part 6 connectable to a mating male side terminal fitting on its front side. On the backside of the connecting part 6 a wire connecting part 7 connecting one end of a wire W is provided. The connecting part 6 is higher than the wire connecting part 7, and broken surface exposure control parts 8 are projected from side walls 9 between the parts 6, 7. The breaking surface exposure controlling parts 8 are integrally extended from the side walls 9 when a conductive metal plate is pressed, and their tip parts are folded back to the inside of the terminal fitting 1 so that the broken surfaces are not exposed.
