Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a terminal for which butt welding can be applied with high laser welding efficiency and without greatly lowering strength of the welded part and its vicinity.SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of a terminal 1 including a tube body squeezing part 30 which is crimped together with a wire, a base material made of copper or copper alloy of terminal material comprising a tube expansion part which forms the tube body squeezing part 30 is prepared, a Sn layer containing 10 to 70% in volume fraction of inorganic particles of a high melting point the diameter of which is 10 nm or more and less than 300 nm is formed on the tube expansion part, the tube expansion part is formed as a tube body by bending and butting, and the butted part is jointed by laser welding to form the tube body squeezing part 30. Each process is included in this order.
