The name of the song to be recorded is selected from an input/output means 3400 and a corresponding selection signal is transmitted to an operational processing means 3100. The operational processing means 3100 requests to receive data corresponding to the name of the selected song from a server means 2000. The server means 2000 distributes modulation data to which eight-to-fourteen modulation(EFM) and NRZI modulation, which correspond to the song, are executed to the operational processing means 3100. The operational processing means 3100 drives the storage medium write means 3200 and writes modulation data corresponding to the song into CD-R.
