Title:
TERMINAL-MODIFIED IMIDE OLIGOMER COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03174427
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition improved in mechanical strengths, elasticity and heat resistance by mixing a specified terminal-modified imide oligomer with an unsaturated imide compound. CONSTITUTION:A biphenyltetracarboxylic acid (e.g. 3,3',4,4'- biphenyltetracarboxylic acid) is reacted with an aromatic diamine (e.g. 4,4'- diaminodiphenyl ether) and a monoamine compound having a C-C triple bond (e.g. propargylamine) at 100 deg.C or below for 1-120min in a solvent to obtain a terminal-modified imide oligomer (A) having an unsaturated group on the terminal, in imide bond inside the oligomer and a logarithmic viscosity at 30 deg.C of 0.1-1 (in a concentration of 0.5g/100ml in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone) and a softening point of 100-300 deg.C. Equimolar amounts of a substituted Nadic anhydride (e.g. methyl-5-norbornene-2,3-dicarboxylic anhydride) and a monoamine compound having a C-C triple bond are reacted in a solvent to obtain an unsaturated imide compound (B). 100 pts.wt. component A is mixed with 5-180 pts.wt. component (B).
