To enable at least one of reducing the risk that a terminal 4 to be set up is allocated with wrong alphanumeric characters and the like (license key) and set up and thereby the terminal is not safely set up, and facilitating the management of the terminal 4.SOLUTION: A terminal setup method is a method when a license key for authentication is required for connecting a terminal belonging to a predetermined group to a predetermined communication line, and the method includes: a step of creating an account; a step of storing the license key; an individual information acquisition step of a cloud server acquiring and storing individual information from the terminal; an individual information linking step of applying an unused license key to the terminal to obtain an individual license key linked to the individual information; and an installation step of installing connection software for authenticating the terminal and connecting the terminal to the communication line to perform encryption communication from the cloud server to the terminal based on the individual information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
