To provide a termite-proof material preventing deterioration of a termiticidal material acting on termites in a manner of delayed effects and nonrepellencies and eliminating a load on inspecting operation of damage by eaten by the termites and to provide a termite-proof method with the same.

The termite-proof material 10 has a cellulosic substrate 5 impregnated with the termiticidal material acting on the termites in the manner of delayed effects and nonrepellencies and providing a food for the termites and a resin container 3 for sealing the substrate, having poor water permeability and easily damaged by eaten by the termites. The substrate 5 is selected from, e.g. wood, sawdust, paper and cellulosic materials. The termiticidal material is selected from chlorfenapyr, fipronil, hydramethylnon, etc. The resin container 3 is, e.g. a cylindrical box body or a rectangular box body or a cylindrical bag or a rectangular bag. The resin container 3 is preferably composed of a polystyrene foam.
