Abstract:
To provide a cooling system which produces a cryogenic temperature of 0.8 K or lower, by using a cryostat with the use of normal 4He and even in a low magnetic field of about 1 tesla.
This ternary system intermetallic compound comprises Pr, In and Ni, and has a cubic crystal AuBe5 type or MgSnCu4 type crystal structure and the property of developing a magnetic cooling effect by adiabatic demagnetization. The cooling system uses the compound.
