Abstract:
To effectively capture a modulated bus signal modulated by an arbitrary wireless modulation scheme.SOLUTION: A test and measurement device receives a modulated bus signal modulated by an arbitrary wireless modulation scheme in an input section 100 and digitizes it by an ADC102. A digital down converter 104 down-converts the modulated bus signal and outputs in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband component waveform data. A trace generation section 106 receives the in-phase and quadrature-phase baseband component waveform data and generates a time versus radio frequency (RF) trace. A decoder 108 receives the time versus RF trace, decodes the modulated bus signal using a threshold on the basis of the wireless modulation scheme, and generates a binary signal. A trigger circuit 112 captures a portion including a particular binary pattern of the binary signal and its before and after portions by performing trigger operation when the particular binary pattern is found in the binary signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
