Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a test piece where NOx present in environment can be visually observed without being affected by other gases or it can be analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively.
CONSTITUTION: A test piece is constituted of a laminated structure wherein a metal thin film 2 such as Ag, Pt, and Au is prepared by vacuum formation on a metal plate 1 such as Cu and Zn. After allowing it to stand in the environment for a specific period, a corrosive product 4 such as salt of nitric acid which is generated by capturing NOx, SOx, and NH3 is examined to determine the approximate quantity of NOx, SOx, and NH3 in environment.
