Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin in which adhesiveness between a reinforcing fiber and a thermoplastic resin can be easily increased at low cost and which therefore can provided a structure excellent in flexural rigidity, energy absorption property, impact resistance or the like, and a method of producing the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin.SOLUTION: The fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin has a reinforcing fiber 12 having a thin film layer formed on the surface thereof and a thermoplastic resin. A hydroxyl group is chemically modified on the thin film layer in such a way that the hydroxyl group contained per unit weight of the reinforcing fiber is 1×10mol/g or more. The thin film layer is composed of for example SiOx-based glass film.SELECTED DRAWING: None
