PURPOSE: To develop the superior antithrombus, tissue therapeutic function and anastomosis fittingness by forming a fibrin layer in which soluble elastin is compounded in a specific weight ratio for fibrin, on the surface of a material, and applying the fibrin layer for artificial organs.
CONSTITUTION: As the material used for artificial organs, in particular as artificial blood vessel, are listed polyurethane group polymer, urethane urea copolymer or the blend substance with the above-described substance and silicone group polymer, high polymeric material such as polyester and polytetrafluoroethylene, or other well-known artificial blood vessel material. Though the compounding quantity of soluble elastin for fibrin is not particularly limited, the weight ratio of the soluble elastin/fibrin is desirably 0.05 or more and more preferably 0.1-2, and furthermore, preferably 0.5-1. Though the thickness of the soluble elastin-compounded fibrin layer is not particularly limited, the thickness is preferably 1-50μm or so.
