To provide a thermal color development-type double-sided printing device which can expand the application of a printing medium.
In this double-sided printing device, in a first printing mode, the reading of data intended for printing 22, is performed using an image scanner 24 while conveying a printing medium 21 with the help of a conveyance means 28. Further, the reproduction of an image is performed on one side surface 21a of the printing medium 21 using a first thermal head 26, based on read data intended for reproduction 22 which are read using the image scanner 24. Along with this procedure, the reproduction of an image is performed on the other side surface 21b of the printing medium 21, using a second thermal head 27 based on the read data. On the other hand, in the a second printing mode, the printing of data is performed on one side surface 21a of the printing medium 21 based on the entry data which are entered through a data input means 25 while conveying the printing medium 21 using a conveyance means 28. Further, the printing of data is performed on the other side surface 21b of the printing medium 21 using the second thermal head 27, based on the entry data.
