PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut a sheet easily, on a base material having a complicated three-dimensional shape, for trimming.SOLUTION: A thermal molding device 1 is configured so that a sheet 3 which is softened by heating is adhered to a surface of a base material 2 having a three-dimensional shape and the sheet 3 covers the surface, and then trimming is performed. The base material 2 has a shape having a recessed part, and a base material jig 4 for holding the base material 2 is provided. The base material jig 4 comprises: a jig body 41; and a fitting part 42 which is detachably engaged to the recessed part of the base material 2 for complementation of the base material shape, and having a cover surface where the sheet 3 covers. The fitting part 42 is disposed so that the cover surface of the fitting part 42 and the surface of the base material 2 become flush on a state that the fitting part 42 is fitted to the base material 2, and the base material 2 which is covered by the sheet 3 is removed from the base material jig 4, and at the same time, the fitting part is separated from the base material 2.
