PURPOSE: To provide the titled head capable of reducing a interval between each segments wherein each end parts plural mutual segment like heat generating resistors forming a rectangular shape having a cross piece connecting the central parts of a pair of long sides are connected to a same lead electrode and respective heat generating resistors are selectively driven in a time sharing manner.

CONSTITUTION: Bar segment like heat generating resistors 1W7 are arranged in a rectangular shape having a cross piece connecting the central parts of a pair of long sides and each end parts of mutual adjacent ones are connected to same lead electrodes 22W27. This arrangement is formed on a heat resistant insulating base material 28. Through a time sharing drive circuit, lead electrode 27W 28 are selected to a selectively drive each heat generating resistors 1W7 in a time sharing manner. A number of lead electrodes are reduced to a large extent and the preparation of a thermal printer head is made easy while the cost thereof is reduced.
