Title:
THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL FOR CARD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07164743
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve dimensional stability and printability by forming a thermal recording material by providing a thermal layer and a protective layer on the single surface of a support composed of specific paper and applying printing processing to both surfaces of the support and subsequently PP processing to the rear surface thereof.

CONSTITUTION: Thermal recording paper is formed by providing a thermal layer and a protective layer on the single surface of a support composed of paper characterized by that thickness is 150-500μm. folding endurance (JIS-P-8115) is 200 times or more, rigidity (JIS-P-8125) is 15-60gf.cm and the degree of shrinkage of a dimension under a high humidity (80% or more)/low humidity (30% or less) condition is 3% or less. After printing processing is applied to both surfaces of this thermal recording paper, PP processing is applied to the rear surface thereof to form a thermal recording material for a card. By applying PP processing after printing, a rear surface printing image can be kept over a long period of time. By this constitution, even in the case of double-side printing widely used in a card field, a sharp and fast printing image is obtained.
