PURPOSE: To obtain a thermal recording material excellent in recording sensitivity and image quality by successively providing an undercoat layer containing a microcapsule including an electron beam curable resin and pigment and a thermal recording layer containing a color former and a coupler on a support.
CONSTITUTION: A thermal recording material eliminating the insufficiency of thermal recording sensitivity when high speed recording is applied to a thermal recording label having electronic oven aptitude is formed by successively providing an undercoat layer containing a microcapsule including an electron beam curable resin and pigment and a thermal recording layer containing a color former and a coupler on a support. Further, an intermediate layer containing an aq. adhesive and an overcoat layer containing an electron beam curable resin are successively provided on the thermal recording layer. The microcapsule has a mean particle size of 0.1-3μm and the wall film thereof is composed of a polyurethane/polyurea resin or an aminoaldehyde resin and high thermal sensitivity is obtained by this microcapsule.
