Title:
THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02117846
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To minimize simulated gradation and a rough appearance without deterioration of gloss quality on a printed surface by pressing an adhesive member on the printed part of paper to which data is transferred after the paper is peeled apart.

CONSTITUTION: An adhesive roller 21 presses paper to which data is transferred after it is printed, on a platen 6. If a fin-like part sticks to the periphery of the adhesive roller 21, the ink is torn off S-section because of its adhesive force with the paper at C-section. Consequently, the fin-like part 1-N can be removed. In addition, when the adhesive film 22 is employed, an adhesive film holding roller is provided instead of the adhesive roller 21. Then the adhesive film 22 is pressed on the printed part of the paper using the adhesive film holding roller, and the adhesive film 22 is transported in an arrow G-direction. Thus the fin-like part also can be removed. It is also possible to cut the cost of expendables by using the adhesive film 22 repeatedly or cleaning the adhesive roller 21 for recovery and reuse.
