Abstract:
To provide a thermal transfer printer capable of preventing the generation of slackness in an ink ribbon and the blocking of the ink ribbon and recording paper by simple constitution.
A recording paper feed roller 16 and a follower roller 17 are provided on the downstream side of the feed direction of the recording paper 15 recorded by a line thermal head 9. When the recording paper 15 is fed in the direction reverse to a feed direction at a time of recording, a color ink ribbon 7 comes into contact with the follower roller 17. By this constitution, tension is applied to the color ink ribbon and no slackness is generated in the ink ribbon 7 and the blocking of the ink ribbon 7 and the recording paper 15 is prevented.
