PURPOSE: To perform multicolor printing of high quality without deforming a material to be subjected to transfer printing made of a synthetic resin by preheating the material to be subjected to transfer printing to raise the temp. thereof to thermal deformation temp. or lower and superposing a transfer film on the heated material to press the same.

CONSTITUTION: A shutter holding member 60 is moved along a feed passage. The shutter holding a member 60 is formed into a box shape having a hollow part 61 from a metal having high heat conductivity. A heat insulating sheet 62 is bonded to the bottom surface part of the shutter holding member 60 and heaters 63 are respectively built in the left and right side surface parts constituting the hollow part 61. The heaters 63 are controlled by a heater control device 52 to control the temp. of the shutter holding member 60 to 80°C. The shutter holding member 60 prevents the transfer of the heat of the heaters 63 to a bed 33 by the heat insulating sheet 62.
