Title:
THERMAL TRANSFER RECORDING MEDIUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63252786
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent missing of dots form clear images even on a transfer recording paper having low smoothness, by incorporating minute foams uniformly in a releasable layer and/or an ink layer, in a thermal transfer recording medium comprising a base, the releasable layer and the ink layer.

CONSTITUTION: A releasable layer 2 is provided on a heat-resistant base, 1, and an ink layer 3 is provided thereon, with minute foams 5 dispersed in a heat-fusible substance constituting the releasable layer 2. The base may be a film of a plastic having relatively favorable heat resistance such as a polyester, a polycarbonate, triacetyl cellulose, nylon and a polyimide, cellophane, parchment paper, condenser paper or the like. It is preferable that the releasable layer comprises a waxy substance having a peak value in differential thermal analysis of not more than 120°≤ in an amount of at least 70wt.% based on the heat-fusible substance in the first layer.
