Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stabilize a print image by bringing a transfer sheet containing a coating made of a specific dye mixture into contact with a receiver sheet, and diffusing to thermal transfer the dye.
CONSTITUTION: The thermal transfer sheet comprises coating made of a mixture 20 to 50% of a dye of a formula I and 80 to 50% of a dye of a formula II, wherein R1 is 1-12C alkyl, X is a halogen, and R2 is an aryl or 1-4C alkyl unsubstituted or substituted by 1-4C alkoxy, 1-4C alkoxy-1-4C alkoxy or aryl. When this sheet is used and dye diffusion thermal transferred onto a receiver sheet, a stable print image having resistance to heat, movement, crystallization, fats and oils, roving and a light can be obtained.
