Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer sheet which has high heat resistance in a heat-resistant lubricant layer and high running stability by imparting lubricity in contact with a thermal head and can prevent a printing defect such as a printing flaw.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermal transfer sheet which comprises a heat-resistant lubricant layer on one surface of a substrate and a colorant layer on the other surface of the substrate, wherein the heat-resistant lubricant layer contains a binder resin and a polygonal organic filler, the binder resin is a curable resin obtained by curing one or both of a polyvinyl butyral resin and a polyvinyl acetal resin with an isocyanate-based curing agent, a molar equivalent ratio (-NCO/-OH) between a hydroxyl group contained in one or both of the polyvinyl butyral resin and the polyvinyl acetal resin and an isocyanate group contained in the isocyanate-based curing agent is adjusted to be more than 0 and less than 0.1 and the content of the polygonal organic filler is adjusted to be more than 0% and less than 1% based on the solid content of the heat-resistant lubricant layer.
