Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a thermal transfer printer capable of obtaining a sheet which is excellent in printing quality.
CONSTITUTION: In a thermal transfer type printer which prints with an ink sheet to be drawn out from a cassette, an upper lid 3 so constructed as to open and close in one piece with a thermal head 6 is provided. When each upper lid is closed, the head is pressed in a specific positional relation with a platen roll. Further, when the upper lid is opened, the head is made to be separated from the platen roll. The title thermal type printer is thus constructed.
